The most expensive lunch...

What does a Ducati bike and a Ford Mustang have in common? Well, they've got the same amount of horsepower.

The Ducati Desmosedici RR weights a shredding 171 kgs (377 lbs), but puts out an astonishing 197.3 hp @ 13800 rpms. It's one of the most expensives and rare race bike ever produced, set at $72,500 and with only a 1500 production line.

I like fancy motorcycles, and here's a something I thought was funny that I came across on the web awhile age:

It was an expensive lunch. Rather than walk up the road or hop in a car to grab a bite for himself and his mates at the Ducati factory in Bologna, one of the workers decided to jump on a bike to go pick up a margherita grande with extra cheese. And oh boy, he got a good taste in bikes.

The bike he picked was not just any bike. It was Ducati Desmosedici RR, a 990cc MotoGP race replica. Amongst all of the things it was best known for, however, it was not best known for having acres of space to secure a pizza box.

Still, the gas tank's pretty flat, so I'll just balance it on top and hold it with my arms while I navigate a way back to the factory through the European lunchtime traffic...
 

Well, you can guess the rest, As seem in this photo, our hero found himself on the wrong side of the road. Either because he was British or Japanese, or more likely because he didn't look where he was going while trying to right the pizza box after it slipped...

"The car he front-ended wasn't too badly damaged, but the Desmo definitely came off second best when it was decked on its side, quite apart from being covered with melted mozzarella cheese-look closely, and you can see the strands dripping to the ground."

Now that all this is done, this poor guy's got some good explaining to do to his boss after he finishes what's left of his pizza.

So, in short, looks like one of the lucky 1500 purchasers who signed up for this ultimate streetbike would have to wait for couple more weeks to get his bike from FedX and this guy's gonna be working for Ducati for free for the next couple of years...
